New canvas → pick a template. They are grouped by what you are doing: Think, Present, Work, Life.
Every template is a complete board for one imagined job rather than a scatter of labelled rectangles. The café launch has a break-even that does not close until month two. The runbook tells you to restore service before you debug. The lab notebook still has the discarded run in it, and says why it was discarded. A template that opens as three empty boxes teaches nothing.
The badges on each card say which blocks it will put on the board, so you can find one that demonstrates the thing you were curious about.
Pictures
Templates that use photographs download them when you place the template, into your own asset folder. After that the board works offline for good. The download runs after the board is on screen, so nothing waits; a picture that cannot be fetched leaves a caption saying so and the rest of the board is unaffected.
All bundled media comes from Wikimedia Commons, which is freely licensed and has stable URLs. Nothing is copied into the app — it is fetched on your machine, at your instigation.

Save as template on any board captures it, including its structure and content. Your templates appear alongside the built-in ones.
